What a fantastic hotel this is. Ideally situated for us and had two kids play parks across the road. Our room was immaculate and came with everything we needed for tea or coffee. Our three yer old Grandsome had a great time. Breakfast was amazing and the choices were endless. We will definitely return for another overnight or longer soon.Friendliest staff I have met ever on any of our travels within Scotland.

First impressions was off a clean and well kept hotel. All of the staff that we met were friendly and could not do enough to help us on our stay. Very good breakfast, ordered what you wanted the night before. Tea and coffee pots provided on the table. Most important to us was this hotel is dog friendly

Staff in this hotel make you feel very welcome and are attentive and helpful.We have stayed here several times now and the location is perfect on the West Bay. Nice views, very near the sea and only a short walk into town.Rooms are warm, comfortable and clean and the beds are comfy.We included breakfast on this visit and it was excellent. Good choice of options and quality and presentation was excellent- we would recommend! We also booked dinner the second evening and the food was great.Lots of choice and again our meal was lovely. I had a steak which was beautifully cooked.Nice atmosphere in the dining room and again the service was friendly and efficient. We had a lovely stay and will return-can thoroughly recommend this small hotel. A special mention to Mariana who looked after us very well and has that personal touch which makes such a difference.

Very happy with all facilities

Very comfortable stay. Shower was good (room 1) hot & strong enough, Bed was comfy. Full Scottish breakfast kept us going all day. The hotel also provides evening meals in the dining room. No car park but street parking was fine.Good value stay and staff (esp Marianne who found us shortbread to go with our coffees) were friendly.

We had a lovely time in Dunoon at park hotel.The staff were lovely and the chef wasaccomodating.Our room was bright and clean and spacious.For us the best part was that it was literally a stones throw away from the parade to take long walks along the coast.

Hotel was clean, warm and within walking distance of town centre. We had double room with our dog. It was spacious, with tea and coffee facilities, bathroom with shower, toiletries and large bath towels. Breakfast was great, although dogs are not allowed so only one of us could enjoy it, or go seperately. Reception staff were lovely. I would recommend a stay at this hotel if visiting Dunoon.

My room was clean and warm with a very comfy bed and nice bedding.I could see the River Clyde from my window which was lovely.Staff were welcoming and helpful.I did not have breakfast but the dining room area was very nice and the food smelled good! I wouldstay here again.I booked direct with the hotel to get the best deal.

Only one night here for work.Stayed in the suite on the top floor. Lovely comfortable room, and great value really.Had an evening meal and breakfast and the food was excellent.Staff really friendly and very helpful. If I’m up here again I’d definitely stay here.Only minor negative is the speed of the water for the bath! It takes a while to fill. If you want a bath run it at least half an hour before getting in 😂…It’s nothing really but honest comment.. but overall excellent place.. I bet it’s gorgeous in the summer

I experienced 3 other accommodations before this one. Now I go nowhere else. Even interacting with other diners isloosely monitored so you feel safe at all times. There is a good vibe to it and the owners are visible and engaging.

Travelled to Dunoon for an overnight stay while attending a concert. The hotel was clean, warm and staff were very friendly. Room was decent and comfortable. Slept well and breakfast was excellent. One small downside was a really noisy shower from an adjacent room. Otherwise happy with our stay.

The hotel was in a great location for walking. Our room was nice and warm. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. Cons..(sorry Marianna) Bed comfort was ok but bedding though clean was well past its best a long time ago, paper thin duvet, main light was blinding 3 spotlights, no bed side lamps, light above bed wasn’t working, eventually removed two bulbs for comfort.Shower room was unbelievably small, hot water was barely lukewarm at best, electric shower adequate, shower room was very poorly lit, just a few little things easy to fix for added enjoyment. Nice place to stay, just a little walk into oban, park hotel clean and tidy, bathroom dated but clean. Just a note to cleaners to look behind the makeshift blind in bathroom and clean the mold from the window frame. Could not fault the breakfast and the staff were nice and pleasant.

Had a lovely stay at the Park Hotel, Adrian was a perfect host & nothing was too much hassle, he is a fantastic asset to the hotel (hope he has a wonderful birthday), rooms were very small though & a big issue is when anyone uses the shower of water in the next room there is a horrendeous noise from the pipes in the roomwe were in, not nice at 7am in the morning. Breakfast was fantastic & a special mention on the most amazing scrambled egg with cheese or smoked salmon. was a pity the chef was on holiday as would have loved to have tried the restaurant

Can't fault this hotel. Great location and our room had a great view of the sea. Staff very friendly and very accommodable. Rooms were very clean and comfortable and overall the full Hotel was spotless. Breakfast was excellent, had to pre order but had a lot of choices and once seated for breakfast was served very quickly and portions very adequate. Very good Hotel for price and would highly recommend and we will definitely book again on our return to Dunoon .

The Hotel was pleasent enough, clean, staff were great and very helpful, food was great, breakfast was great and very well organised. Location was fine, very close to the water, quiet location. The room was big, clean, good shower, large comfortable bed, the decor could do with being upgraded. Overall a very comfortable and quiet stay. My only criticism is the hotel is advertised as pet friendly which it is but you are not allowed pets in the bar or restaurant and they don't have any areas available for pets, they advise you to leave pets in the room and take turns going for breakfast or dinner which didn't go down well with myself and some other guests, apart from that everything else was fine.

Good food in the evening, again great service from Adrian. Well stocked bar.. good selection of whisky.And breakfast was excellent. 😊🙏🙏

This was our second visit to the Park Hotel, as before our room was very spacious and comfortable, parking was easy and plentiful outside the hotel, and the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout. The breakfasts here are beautifully prepared, generous and of the highest quality, we also enjoyed an evening meal which was superb. We shall most definitely return!

We only had breakfast on this occasion, which is cooked to order and very tasty - Sets you up for the day! The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely overnight stay here. The staff were so friendly, and couldn't do enough for us. The evening meal was very tasty, as was breakfast the next morning. We had a good night's sleep on the comfy bed. Would definitely recommend.

We were comfortable in our room.Our booking for a meal at 6pm was postponed by the hotel to 7pm, which was a little inconvenient, as we had invited family members to join us. However,the meal itself was excellent, as was breakfast the following morning.Decor slightly shabby, but staff lovely.

Food & bar menu has plenty of choices to suit most tastes and our dinner and breakfast meals were excellent. The hotel staff (am & pm) throughout our stay were extremely pleasant and always went the extra mile to please. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would be more than happy to return for a stay in the future.

We were in Dunoon for one night for a gig. We stayed at the Park Hotel and we're so glad we made that choice. Excellent service from pleasant, cheery and helpful staff. We didn't have dinner at the hotel, but the breakfasts were absolutely spot on. We'd definitely stay at the Park again.Highly recommended.

Great breakfast - piping hot and hugely competent and friendly staff but hotel public rooms could do with a facelift. It wouldn't take much to improve the bar and dining room. Some warmer coloured paint and a wood floor would work with the fire place. Our room (26) was spacious with sea view - lovely.

We were visiting family in the area and as on previous occasions booked into the Park. It is in a very nice location near the Clyde, some rooms have a view to the river.It's within easy walking distance of town for shops and restaurants and the Cowal peninsula has amazing views and scenery. There is a pleasant seating area outside which catches the afternoon/evening sun. We were able to enjoy a drink there. Staff are friendly and helpful and I was provided with gluten free toast at breakfast.

We had a very comfortable and peaceful stay at The Park Hotel. The Suite was spacious with everything we needed and the views from the dormer windows were beautiful. We had the full Scottish breakfast which was excellent. We highly recommend this hotel to others.

We were a group of 9-11 researchers staying at the Park Hotel whilst working at the PDA on diver resuscitation in a diving bell for the entire week.This was a lovely, clean and friendly hotel where nothing was too much problem.We can highly recommend.

In Dunoon for a wedding staying at Park, room was modern, clean & warm. Breakfast was wonderful and staff very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Comfortable room with view across the bay. Staff helpful and friendly and breakfast set us up for the day.Only criticism was that there were no glasses in the room or bathroom, which seemed unusual in a hotel clearly focussed on a good experience for its guests.

Great little hotel for the price we paid. A very warm welcome from the reception when we checked in. The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable great shower. The room (20) we had was fine. But at the end of the corridor, it had two large windows which made it very very cold through the night. Explained this to reception in the morning. The lady apologised that the heating is set to come on twice through the night time which it did but this room was still very cold. (Maybe a small heater could be an option) the food and the breakfast was fantastic. Would stay here again with no hesitations. Lovely hotel with friendly staff & good food.

We have stayed at the Park Hotel several times, whilst visiting relatives in Dunoon, the staff are always extremely welcoming,both to us and our dogs. The rooms are clean & comfortable & the breakfast sets you up for the day.We will be returning soon. I wouldn't consider staying anywhere else when in Dunoon.

Needed a hotel for a 1 night stopover in Dunoon. We had the suite on the top floor with a sea view @ £95 b@b for 2.It fitted the bill very nicely. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had a couple of drinks in the small bar then an evening meal which was very pleasant and not overpriced. Breakfast was very good and plentiful. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for one night whilst attending a gig at Queens Hall. We were met and checked in by the most friendly of ladies. The room was compact, clean, warm and had a great shower. We had the choice of a couple of rooms but this one was perfect for what we needed.Breakfast was served with a smile by the same lovely lady, for who nothing was a problem. The food was extremely well cooked and attentively presented. Great coffee as well!All in all my daughter and I had a very comfortable stay and I will certainly return when another gig comes up at Queens.

We didn’t expect too much for the price, as long as it’s clean we’re ok with anywhere if only for 1 night but we were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.We had a drink at the bar, dinner in the restaurant and a fantastic breakfast, our double room was extremely comfortable and the shower was great, a bit of a walk into town but reception phoned a taxi for us.

We had a great stay at the Park Hotel, the business is family owned and the husband and wife team work extremely hard to make sure you feel welcome and your stay is enjoyable. Would defiantly recommend this hotel to other guests.

The Park Hotel offered exactly what we were expecting. Our room was prepared for us when we arrived and Marianna helped make our stay a pleasure. The staff, Adrian, was extremely nice and accommodating and as he also manned the hotel bar was able to prepare several cocktails for our enjoyment.We have a special relationship with Dunoon and the Park Hotel helped to continue that relationship.

As an 'older couple' we always need to keep costs down but aim to do this without sacrificing quality. Our stay at The Park Hotel more than ticked both boxes. The food quality was excellent, and the fact that my wife required GF alternatives was no problem, the chef was more than helpful, with some quite imaginative presentations.The management & staff were really friendly & very helpful, which made our stay very enjoyable.

My wife and I stayed 6 nights at The Park Hotel while we visited family in the area and it proved to be the perfect choice. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and went beyond our expectations to make our stay as perfect as possible. Our room was very clean and comfortable and well serviced throughout our stay. Breakfast was very good with a wide selection of choices to suit everyone with generous portions, we did not go hungry!The evening meal menu looked excellent but as we spent our time with our family in the evening sadly we did not have the opportunity to sample the options available.The Park is ideally situated in a very quiet area close to the Loch, a short walk away is the passenger ferry terminal and a little further brings you to the heart of Dunoon.Overall a perfect choice for us and we will certainly be returning for our next trip, Thank you Park Hotel!

I stayed in the park hotel for 3 weeks while working near Dunoon and to be quite honest it was a lovely experience. The owners and staff were all very friendly,my room was nice and the food was fantastic. If I am ever working in that area again I would not hesitate to stay there again.

I can here for the Dunoon Dirt Dash. The Park was very accommodating allowing me to drop off a small bag for the night I'd be away on the event. They also let me stow my many bike bags when I arrived too early for check in on the Friday.All the staff were friendly and helpful.The room I had though small was prefect for my needs and had a great view over the beach. The bed was very comfortable.The bike locking facilities aren't the best, but enough to keep your bike secure. (Which you leave at your own risk.)I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Dunoon.

We arrived early and received a very warm welcome. Our room was ready too. We chose the suite which was very spacious. The room was comfortable and warm. Breakfast was nice and plenty of it too. Loved the 11.00am check out time. The hotel was only a few minutes drive of the main town.

We have just returned from our 3 nights stay,the Hotel is situated in a quiet location and less than 10 minutes walk from the pier and town centre.Our room was nicely decorated with a comfy bed, freeview TV,coffee and tea facilities available. Bathroom was refurbished with a spacious shower cubicle with power shower.All was serviced daily including fresh towels etc.The staff were frankly and helpful and the choice of breakfast and dinner was excellentOur stay was very comfortable and most enjoyable and very good value.Looking forward to our next visit

We booked in to park hotel for the first time,we stayed fri to sun room 18,the welcome was warm ,our room was beautiful and clean,mattress was a dream ,beautiful bathroom with top quality shower, we slept great both nights with no noise, we had dinner in the hotel fri night ,top food ,prentation awsom and amazing cooked breakfast, real mushrooms, 2 fried eggs ,blackpudding and the rest was lush ,allover fantastic breakfast,bar was not expensive, lovely staff,we will definitely be back to the park hotel again, thank you for a great week

We were really well looked after at the Park Hotel - 14 of us turned up, filled half the building, had a great dinner and made a range of random requests which Marianna and co met with humour and grace.We felt very welcome, slept soundly and ate like champions!

From check in to check out the hotel staff were very responsive, available and very engaging and took an interest in our wellbeing.Our room was clean and the room was spacious. Our bed was very comfortable.Breakfast was amazing and the standard was very high. There was plenty of choice. We had dinner at the Hotel every night and again the choice on the menu was good with plenty to choose from. The food was well cooked and the presentation was excellent. Overall our stay was really enjoyable and we will definitely be booking again.

Our room at the top of the building was absolutely ideal for our needs. Quiet and spacious with lovely views in both directions.Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice.We had 2 evening meals in the restaurant, and both were well prepared and suited both our dietary needs.There is so much to see and doin the immediate locality, and the Clyde views are just there!!Our stay was 4 nights this time in September 2023, - we hope to stay for a week next time.

Stayed 3 nights. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. We’re in Dunoon for a music festival a the pier. A ten minute walk along the sea front walkway. We dined in on the Thursday night and the food was excellent as was the breakfasts. Lovely friendly people.

Hotel was in easy walking distance to the festival my husband was playing at. Quick easy check in. We were happy to fill in a card for our choice and time for breakfast the following morning. Nice big bright bedroom with very comfortable beds. Everything was very clean too. Breakfast was fantastic. The scrambled egg with cheese was the best I've ever had in a hotel. Really good coffee too. My husband said his fry up was really tasty with good quality ingredients. Cheery friendly staff.

We spent 2 nights at the Park Hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly breakfast was fantastic bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. We didn't get to use the Restaurant at night as it was closed on a Sunday but will definitely try when we book again. Very enjoyable weekend we will be visiting again soon thanks to all the staff for their efforts.

The Park Hotel is a lovely place to stay in Dunoon, my wife and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend stay, in a comfortable and clean room.We had a wonderful evening meal on the day of our arrival, Which we selected from a varied and tempting menu. The breakfasts on both mornings were substantial and also varied.The hotel location is excellent for exploring furthermore afield from Dunoon or for just strolling around the esplanade and local area.The staff were very friendly and helpful and we will certainly be returning at a future date.

We stayed two nights, The Park was a base for touring the area. I agree that our room was small but - excellent, spotless recently refurbished bathroom with power shower, great hot breakfast, friendly team and from our cosy seafront room, the best view of sunrises over the bay. You'll always be greated with a smile at The Park.

It may have been partly my fault for not realising I had initially booked a double room for a single visitor, when I meant to two persons; the website showed the same pic.Anyway when we arrived we found the room to be a little cramped, and the storage amounted to asmall wardrobe and a single draw. Not ideal.The other compplaint was that our bed backed onto the adjoining room where their shower room was, so if next door has a shower at 6 am you know about it!All that said, what makes this hotel is the staff. We only ever saw four different people in the course of our stay but they could not do enough for you. Everyone of them was brilliant. And then there's the food, which was very good. The breakfast did not disappoint and set you up for the day, and although we did not have a evening meal in the hotel, they looked very good at the advertised prices look very reasonable.The location is very good, as you are about 10/15 mins walk from the town and the ferry port or a similar distance to one of the entrances to the Bishop's Glen.Despite the faults with our room we would certainly stay here again.

A very nice stay at a good rate. Wonderful breakfast. Rooms Good size. The type of hotel that the discount hotels used to undercut with their low low rates but now seem charge luxury hotel charges but these older style hotels continue to offer great value for money comfortable stays. I would highly recommend the park hotel which is an easy walk from town centre. We also had a fabulous evening meal again at a good price.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, spotless!! Our suite was huge with a jacuzzi and the room was spotless.Adrian was exceptional and treated us like royalty, very friendly and nothing was a bother. We ate in the restaurant and found everything to be delicious and hot, didnt get the chefs name but he was great! Only regret being we only booked one night. Can't wait to return, thanks for everything.

My husband and I stopped over in Dunoon for a night with our 3 "young adult" children. Our 2 rooms were so comfortable and clean, our breakfast was JUST what we needed, and most notably the staff was remarkable. We only met the young lady who checked us in and served our breakfast, and she was great--so friendly and helpful. Thank you for helping make our quick trip to Dunoon so nice!

What a marvellous stay we had at the Park. A nice, adequate clean room on first floor with sea view. Excellent friendly staff, especially Marianna, could not do enough for you. We were away with friends for a few days for a quick catch up as one couple was here from Australia,the hotel was nice but it was Marianna who made itall the more pleasant for us asshe made us really welcome from the start to the end of our stay, and the food including dinner on both nights was amazing and over generous. Have stayed here majority of times I have visited Dunoon since a child. While I appreciate it is maybe new owners it was a lovely stay. Room clean, slightly dated bathroom but everything worked, gorgeous view and very tasty breakfast. Staff extremely hospitable without being invasive. We’ll be back.

It was lovely to stay at the park hotel again,where we were well looked after by very friendly and helpful staff. We had a beautifully clean and comfortable room. The food is first class and we will return again for another stay.

After a days motorcycle touring we were looking forward to arriving at the hotel. We were not disapointed. The check in was quick and straight forward. Off road parking for our bikes was available beside the hotel. Room was well appointed with a jet wash shower, most welcome after riding hours in temperatures of up to 24 deg C. Breakfast was good. Overall very happy with hotel, facilities and staff. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable clean Hotel in a good location. 10 minute walk into town.Room was a good size and was able to bring the dog. Good base to explore surrounding area.Breakfast was excellent and they also served a good variety of bar meals in the evening.

We stayed for 2 nights at The Park Hotel.On arrival we were met by a lovely man on reception who took the time to show us to our room rather than just directing us.The room decor wasdated but it was spacious, clean and very comfortable.The team at this hotel make your stay enjoyable, nothing is too much trouble and you are always greeted with a smile and a little chat.We only had breakfast in the hotel but what we had was absolutely lovely and good quality products, made to order and plenty of it.On the whole we had a lovely stay and despite the room decor we would love to return again in the future.

Room was very comfortable, although decor could do with update. Waterfall shower was great too. What really made the stay stand out was the staff and the food. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The food eas exceptional. I had the haddock at dinner and it was huge, perfectly cooked with the lightest, crispest batter and fluffy chips. All arrived piping hot. Breakfast thus morning was equally as good with a generous serving of 2 of everything, including perfectly poached eggs. Would recommend as great place to stay.

Hotel was only a 10 minute walk from town and ferry. Weather was nice and made good use of the beer garden. Room was nice with excellent views. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was more than adequate. Good value stay.

We had a lovely time staying here over 3 nights. The room was a great size with a very comfy bed and had a lovely sofa in there too for relaxing on an evening. The bathroom with shower was a little small but modern and absolutely spotless which is what mattered the most. The breakfast was outstanding, I found it a bit odd ordering the night before but the benefit was it was delivered to you freshly cooked as you arrived at the restaurant, it was plentiful too. I loved the staff as they were all so friendly and really couldn’t do enough for you. Thoroughly recommend a stay here.

This is our 5th stay at the Park Hotel - the BEST place to stay in Dunoon in our opinion.The superb staff are efficient, courteous, friendly, and with high standards.Breakfast is 5 Star, and the dinner menu is excellent in quality and quantity.We are already planning to return later this year with family members from the USA and England.

For the money we paid this is an excellent find. Clean comfortable room with the extras you expect,tea , coffee, shampoo body wash. Lovely friendly check in where you are offered a hairdryer and you select your breakfast for the next morning,where there is a vast choice. Room has a nice view over the water and good electric shower in the en suite. Breakfast was first class, large pots of tea/ coffee, as much fresh toast as you want with proper butter. The quality of sausage, bacon, black pudding paoched eggs was exceptional served again by a friendly professional couple. It isAn easy 15 minute stroll into town. I highly recommend this place as I cannot find a single fault. We will return.

Great place to stay. A large room for the price with a very comfortable bed. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good.They provided a gluten free breakfast without any problems, which was much appreciated.

Staff were really nice. They made us ,my wife and kids feel at home . The breakfast was great. In the evening the spicy wings starter and the steak pie main were very good .

Had a one night stay in December. Very comfortable hotel, nice room had dinner and breakfast food great. Good choice of meals available and the service from all staff was great. This was our second visit to The Park and would definitely book again on future return visits to Dunoon.

We had a double room facing the seafront. So a great view. The room was very small but adequate. The door to the bathroom had a faulty latch which made it difficult to open the door from the bathroom side. The room was clean and comfy. Staff went out of their way to organise a packed breakfast for us because we left early and the cooked breakfast was excellent.

Bed was comfy and a great size, sea view was a bonus and we enjoyed being able to hear the waves from the room with the window open. Shower was a comfortable temperature. We enjoyed a beach walk on our last day and many visits into town for dinner. We ate in the hotel one night and the prices were less than I expected they would be. Staff were friendly and always go above and beyond to make sure guests are happy. I love the fish tank in the reception and find watching the fishes swimming about while we eat very relaxing.

We used The Park Hotel for the second time and like the first time a year ago we had a very comfortable room with plenty of space, our only observation was that the room was very warm overnight although the radiators were off.The food as usual was excellent and plenty of it. The staff were very attentive and helpful.

Stayed for 2 nights with my daughter and our golden retriever dog, The twin room was basic but very clean . Breakfast was fantastic the best poached eggs I have ever had .It would have been nice to have an area in the bar area where dogs are allowed at mealtimes so we didn’t have to eat in shifts.Staff were very friendly and the hotel is very reasonablypriced . The hotel is a great small hotel which seems much bigger on the inside than you imagine when you first arrive. Extremely good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff. The only niggle was shower seemed to change the temperature of the water from hot to cold. But for goodvalue for money and an enjoyable stay this hotel has much to offer

Pleasant welcome from the owner, with the offer of a hairdryer and recommendations on where to eat (it was Sunday, and their kitchen was closed). The room was small but spotlessly clean. We had a lovely view, the shower was excellent and the hairdryer powerful! Unfortunately, the weather was dreadful and there was no heating, but this was turned on immediately when requested. Breakfast was excellent, everything well cooked and hot. I accidentally broke a mug, but the owners were most adamant that I didn't have to pay for the breakage. They even thanked me for letting them know!

The Park hotel was a well run comfortable hotel. I was staying with my brother to play golf in the area. Breakfast was very good, and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was also good on the night that we ate in. We did have to change rooms due to the shower springing a leak, but we were moved quickly to a nearby room, as the hotel was not full.

Room was a very good size with sofa to sit on. Had a comfortable night’s sleep. Every member of staff was lovely and helpful. Bar prices were good.We thought the courtyard could have been tidier with some weeds and overflowing ashtrays present.

My wife and I booked a trip on the Waverley paddle steamer. Rather than returning on the same day, we wanted to stay overnight in Dunoon and return the following day. As it was the Cowal Games, we had some difficulty in finding accommodation. I eventually phoned the Park Hotel and was lucky enough to get a room. We found the hotel very welcoming, the staff very helpful, the room clean and spacious and the food (dinner and breakfast) very acceptable.

Stayed at hotel for 2 nights as we toured the Dunoon area. The Hotel staff were very friendly andmade us feel very welcome.The hotel room was basic but very clean and had all the amenities . Therestaurant menu nicely varied , food quality good and reasonable prices so we would definitely stay here again

We booked this hotel as visiting our son and family who have moved to Dunoon and wanted to have as much time as possible with them.We just wish we could have stayed in the Hotel longer, we were made very welcome, the room was perfect and the breakfast was lovely.We will certainly book into The Park Hotel if we go down for a break again, but hopefully be able to stay longer.

Perfect place to stay in Dunoon,near the sea with a short walk to the town perfect for stretching the legs. Excellent breakfasts wonderful smoked salmon every morning and full English. Staff very helpful and kind.

We booked in by contacting the hotel direct and got a good price for B&B.Our double room was smashing with dual aspect views.All the facilities we had asked for were supplied.Breakfast was good and my partner had a huge piece of smoked salmon with his eggs.Will certainly stay there again.

Well situated on the beautiful coastline. Our room had wonderful sea view. Lovely welcome on arrival, compact clean room with comfortable bed & good shower.Breakfast excellent. Staff courteous & helpful.Unfortunately they were unable to offer any meal other than breakfast which would have been helpful to know before booking .

My partner and I stay here often as we work in that area once a month. This hotel has a very comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and dinner.The shower room could do with upgrading as looking a little tired

Well what can I say.what a wonderfully, friendly hotel.i can't fault it the staff were absolutely amazing and accommodating.The hotel was very clean,our beds made every day ,clean towels and bins emptied every day also.Food was amazing. We spent 4 nights in July at The Park, Dunoon whilst visiting family for 60th birthday.Our room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The breakfast choices are very good and the food perfectly cooked and well presented. We shall be back.

Love that we order breakfast on a card the night before.Had our evening meal here, it was delicious. Steaming hot food, well presented and enjoyed by all. Room 6 was perfect for us. Breakfast as ordered and again very good.Look forward to our next visit.🙂

We have been to the Park Hotel quite a few times and have always enjoyed our break and have always been well looked after. The room has always been clean and tidy and the breakfast is great. Would recommend it to anyone.

The suite was spotlessly clean, freshspacious and very comfortableis. The service was among, if not the best, we have ever experienced. Nothing we asked for was any trouble and both staff that we met were pleasant, polite and extremely helpful. Had dinner on the 2nd night and both this and the ample breakfasts were delicious. Look past the decor and the past its best furniture, this place is a real find.

We arrived at 6pm on Monday the 27th of June. Mehmet met us and carried our suitcase up to our room for us. He served us a drink and gave us the phone number for a local cab firm. We went into the town and went to two pubs. Our room was lovely and clean, stylish decor and a fabulous view from the front and side windows, especially the front window. The next morning we were served promptly by our waitress, who was polite and cheerful. I had smoked salmon end scrambled egg, and Dez gave me a poached egg and mushrooms. It was all piping hot and delicious. Tea, coffee and toast came first.It was pouring down so we got another taxi into town, and hit the Charity shops.I had forgotten to pack socks for Dez, so I bought him 3 pairs of Argyll socks from Bernado's Charity shop. I bought Janey Godley's book 'Nothing Left Unsaid'from the excellent book and coffee shop on the corner next door. It was a real page Turner, and I finished it yesterday on the train home. We met two fellow guests, Dawn and John, in the Clansman pub and had a really good laugh with them. Dez and I had dinner in The 21st State Diner; again delicious. We finished in Ingrams Bar at the Ceilidh night, which we thoroughly enjoyed.The shower in the room was really powerful and hot. I had taken two towels, as usually they aren't big enough in hotels, but the towels were thick and large. Mehmet had given me a powerful hair dryer too. The mirror was in an ideal place to do my hair and plug in tongs.Wednesday was a beautiful sunny day. Breakfast was equally delicious and service was prompt and cheerful again. We went to the Botanical garden and met Dawn and John again in the Commercial pub by accident. I had bought my Mum a gift in Made by Hand with Love on Church Street. The lovely owner, Nicola, gave me a free angel keyring after I told her that I was recovering from cancer. We went to Rio in the Argyll Hotel, where I explained to our waiter, Rowan, that I couldn't eat anything spicy yet, and he and Chef made us a prawn, onion and mushroom pizza specially. It was delicious too. We had a good craic with Rowan, and left a big tip. We took loads of photos from our bedroom window, and I managed to video the Dawn breaking at 2. 30 am. I had a shower every morning as it was such a good shower.For breakfast on the last morning I had the full Scottish, which was even nicer than the scrambled eggs. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked on all three mornings. The black pudding was of very good quality. Our waitress was a really nice person and nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. I liked the pre ordering system, as it made Service quick and piping hot. We said goodbye to Dawn and John, whose company had made our holiday so enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Park Hotel to anyone and our stay couldn't have been more enjoyable and excellent value for money. Thank you to all the staff involved and the excellent Chef.

Lovely little hotel. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel -absolutely delicious!Bar area was cosy, outside garden sitting area with comfy furniture and a great little sun trap. Room we were in was spacious, beds very comfortable and clean. The only downside was the room we were in (rm 5) in my opinion needs updating. The bathroom was very small and shower was very tired looking and in need of updating. Only 1 bottle of shower gel for 2 people but we brought out own thankfully.Overall our stay was fabulous and at a great price. Will definitely stay again but preferably another room.

Our room was small but very clean and comfortable. En suite bathroom had a good shower. Tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Hairdryer supplied at reception and I was also supplied with iron and ironing board on request. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast included was excellent.

After going all around the north west islands Dunoon was the perfect staging post to go home. We would certainly do the same again at The Park Hotel was comfortable, friendly & reasonably priced. Thank you Cynthia & Co

The guy on reception was excellent, very helpful and friendly and the breakfast was good. Unfortunately I thought the room, although clean was very small and basic, with very creaky floorboards!

Dissipointed with the room and shower disipointed when we came in at night the bar was not open for a chill drink as it is advertised as a hotel . The breafast was excellent and the girl couldnt be any more helpful .

I liked this hotel and would stay again. The people running it are very friendly. Breakfast was great and served extremely efficiently. The beds were very comfortable. My parents had the suite which delightful, well worth the extra. Our bathroom suite was on the small side, and poorly fitted, and that's why I am not giving a five star rating.

Hotel as always was very clean, comfortable rooms! Staff very friendly and helpful! Breakfast beautiful, well cooked, well presented! Unfortunately this time everything closed at 10pm we went out on Saturday evening and came back at 10.05pm and the front door was locked so we let ourselves in, the bar was all closed! So we just went up to our room, played some music on our phone, and luckily we had a bottle of wine with us and a few snacks so we had that, not exactly the Saturday night we had envisaged on a break away! Apart from this everything else was lovely 😍

The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable. We dined there in the evening and the food was delicious as was the breakfast. My partner had to leave earlier than when breakfast was served, so he only had coffee and toast....I think he would had preferred the breakfast! lol just a pity the ferries are only hourly at the moment!

On arrival we were greeted by a very polite and pleasant gentleman at reception who offered to help with out luggage. The room was spacious, spotless and great views. The bed was very comfortable and the heating perfect. The bathroom had the choice of shower and spa bath. The breakfast has to be the best I've ever eaten, plenty of choice and definately quality ingredients. The poached eggs were perfect. The girl who was looking after us at breakfast was amazing, very friendly and looked after us very well.

We were attending a family celebration and needed somewhere near to spend the night. Found this hotel on booking.com and the reviews were good. We arrived at the hotel in the afternoon and we were quickly and professionally booked in. We had booked dinner for that night also. Room, service and dinner were all great and the young chap even booked a taxi for us. Breakfast was fantastic and poached eggs were a delight. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel

This is the 4th time we have stayed at the Park Hotel & we look forward to our next stay later this year. The large bedrooms met all our requirements. The breakfasts were huge, well cooked & a great start to the day. I would also recommend taking dinner in the evening as the menu offered a wide choice of tasty dishes. The owners & staff were extremely efficient, courteous, & obliging. I cannot speak highly enough of this extremely clean & well run hotel & have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone visiting Dunoon.

The hotel is well situated close to the coast. The food was excellent and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.Our room however required upgrading and there was no hotel parking.

From the internet the hotel looks quite old fashioned and nice however it’s not really it’s very basic but clean.Parking is street parking only.. bathroom and shower is tiny and not great but ok for a night … we booked thinking we could have a wee drink in the bar at night but it never happened because it closed really early..

We stayed here as we we’re attending a event at Hunters Quay, we were in the master suite, me, my daughter and one of our friends, room was very clean and spacious, comfy bed, breakfast was lovely and staff were very friendly, great service would stay again

Wow!!What an excellent overnight stay we had for my partners birthday (which is also, New Years Day).Staff on arrival were incredibly welcoming and warm; my additional request of prosecco & a note was place in our room for my partner.We were fortunate to be in Room 26 which was the suite and it was just wonderful! Such space, comfortable bed, jet-spa bath and stunning views.Our evening meal was incredible; food was cooked fresh and piping hot when served.We followed this with a couple of drinks in their bar.Breakfast, was 10/10!!!!!We will, most definitely be back.Thank you so much

We had a lovely overnight stay at the Park Hotel. When I called to book, receptionist was very helpful and friendly. Throughout stay the staff were excellent and very attentive. The location is good. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. Hotel was full when we stayed and staff busy but we still received top class service.

We had a fabulous time at The Park Hotel July 2021. We stayed with our dogs. The staff were so helpful and lovely. The room (Room 5) was beautiful! So big and clean and lovely view. The bed was outstanding. So big and comfortable.The dogs had plenty of room to play and seemed really content in the room. The location is fabulous! Quiet and peaceful and so pretty. Breakfast was delicious and generous portions. We even got some scrambled eggs for our dogs breakfast! Will definitely stay again! Thank u for a wonderful stay. ????

Professional and pleasant welcome. Covid aware with hand sanitiser on entry and in dining area. Bed comfortable and room clean. Shower room cramped and sink too small for hand washing and shaving. No hot water from tap during 3 day stay. Shower also cramped and shower head at inconvenient height for shorter people. Drain smell in shower room. Good breakfast. Over all perhaps price a bit too high. 3 stars maximum.

My wife and I booked a short break away in Dunoon as we had never visited there before.Looking online through booking dot.com we saw the Park hotel was within walking distance of the town centre and was close to our main reason for visiting Dunoon, The Benmore botanical gardens.The accommodation was very nice and functional, with en-suite facilities, tv and coffee/tea making available within the room.We had breakfast and our main meal in the hotel and the food we selected was first class. The staff were friendly and attentive with all covid 19 rules observed by both staff and guests alike.A very relaxing few days was had and the weather was a bonus, sunny and bright till we departed on Friday morning. We will certainly book again.

we booked 3 rooms {4 adults} easy check in, efficient staff a very friendly, rooms where a little bit dated but very clean, good location, cant fault the breakfast every thing was cooked just right a very good service,will stay here again.

Stayed overnight whilst travelling South. Large, clean and comfortable room. Chose this hotel as it is dog friendly. On the night we stayed it was very quiet although had been busy during the previous weekend. The bed was huge and could have slept a family of four. Excellent breakfast enjoyed before we set off for the Dunoon ferry. Would stay again.

This was my first visit to the Park Hotel and would definitely recommend it to any future travelers. The entrance was very welcoming as were the staff.My bedroom was spotless and had a beautiful view over the water.The breakfast was amazing although far too much for me to eat.I would certainly stay there again as I could not fault anything. The staff were very helpful and understanding. There was a good choice on the dinner and breakfast menus and the servings were generous.The bedroom was spacious with a view of the water.

We enjoyed our one night stay at the Park Hotel. Found the staff to be very welcoming and attentive. We had dinner in the restaurant which was of good quality and not expensive. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. I would suggest that the restaurant could be improved just by adding a few finishing touches. It lacked atmosphere and warmth with big overhead lighting. Some fresh flowers on the table and perhaps some candles or softer lighting. I see from other reviews people were disappointed in the bedrooms. Ours was spotlessly clean and, although not fancy, served us well. The three star rating of the hotel is probably a fair representation of what it deserves.

Our first time at The Park Hotel, we were a party of 4 staying 1 night. Staff were friendly and helpful, room was clean and spacious the choice of breakfast was excellent and cooked to perfection with good presentation. Looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed overnight at the Park Hotel, originally booked for last year but due to lockdown we had to reschedule and this was easy and dealt with very quickly.The staff were super helpful and very professional, polite, courteous and all dealings with them was very easy.The hotel is somewhat dated however it makes up for it in the cleanliness and quality of meals served without a doubt.I would highly recommend the Park Hotel for anyone looking for a reasonably priced, immaculately clean hotel with great service and great food.

The staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. The food was very good and there was plenty of it! Dinner and breakfast portions were very generous and on the second night I had a starter rather than a mains. Our room, which was a standard twin, had a great sea view and a powerful shower. The small wardrobe wasn’t easy to access but everything else was fine.We would recommend this hotel and would be happy to return.

We stayed for three nights and the room we had was superb with beautiful views over the Clyde. The breakfasts were very good with a large choice and the meals on all three evenings were delicious and very reasonably priced. What made our stay even better was the friendly and helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble.

We stayed at the Park hotel for two nights to finalise arrangements for and attend a funeral in Dunoon. Our room and bathroom were immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable and the room itself ( designated a suite) was one of the nicest hotel rooms we have stayed in. The staff werevery friendly and helpful and the food extremely good and with big helpings .As well as breakfast, we had an evening meal both nights and considering the present restrictions, we thought there was areally decent menu choice.We honestly couldn’t fault anything and will certainly stay here again.

Stayed for a couple of nights while doing some work in Dunoon. The hotel is situated just a few minutes walk from the town centre, with beautiful views over the estuary. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was freshly prepared and delicious.

On arrival a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere, the rooms are comfortable and the food is excellent. Ian and Nick were the perfect hosts and I would highly recommend staying here.

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at THE PARK HOTEL in Dunoon. The staff are very attentive, helpful and polite. The hotel is very clean and quiet. The breakfasts are beautiful and the hotel is just a short walk to the town so even the car had a holiday! 5*

We stayed for a long weekend with my sister and could not have picked a better hotel. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff could not do enough for you. The huge breafast was excellent so we decided to eat in and we were not disappointed. Good hot food. If you want swanky over priced decor and meals with fancy names this is not for you but if you want a clean friendly hotel with pleanty of good food you will not do better that to stay at the Park Hotel. We will definately be back and will recommend to friends

It’s a shame we couldn’t see the whole faces of the staff due to face coverings. However this did not disguise the warm and friendly welcome we received and the kindness and courtesy extended to my wife and I . Dinner and breakfast both delicious and served quickly and efficiently. I hope people support these types of hotels through this pandemic. Dunoon is a quiet town but the scenery is breathtaking and the ferry crossing is great. Would like to go back again for a little longer stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Park Hotel in Dunoon. The location in was excellent for Dunoon and for the surrounding area we visited. The beach across the road and lovely views from there. Short walk to the town and easily accessible for the ferries. The staff were excellent in every department. The rooms were comfortable but there were some unavoidable changes to service due to the Covid-19 restrictions. But if anything was needed you only had to ask. Breakfast was excellent as was the evening meals available. The cost of the evening meals and drinks from the bar were reasonably priced. We would definitely return.

All the staff were very helpful. Well done to the chef as all the food was delicious - for dinner we all had different things - strogonoff, scampi, fish n chips - which were all scrummy and could match any top market restaurant. Breakfast was also delicious, with plentiful portions which set us up for the day as didn't need any lunch. They coped brilliantly with a dairy intolerance too and had soya milk for the porridge/coffee. On street parking not a problem at all as plentiful and a quiet residential street. The bed was so comfy, lovely bath and the overhead shower was so powerful. Everything was spotless

Hotel were very particular regarding COVID protections which was good to see. That goes a long way to making one feel comfortable right now.Room was spacious, very clean with a comfortable bed and a two piece leather sofa ideal for watching the TV.Ensuite was very tight, but a good shower. It had a very annoyingly noisy fan that went on for ages after turning off which could surely be fixed.Food was excellent, and good value, and staff very helpful and friendly.Overall very good.

After several visits of this family run hotel we just can say that this was the most exciting experience. We had this time (first time) a suite and it was just another world. The breakfast service was amazing and good as always even with restrictions because of COVID-19. The staff kept a professional and friendly distance which was a bit awkward if you had the warm and kind experience of earlier visits. But this is the toll we have to pay to the pandemic and not of the staff that always was doing their best to satisfy the customer considering the circumstances.a lovely, big and well equipped room with a warm and hearty ambience .We will come back for sure and definitely back into a suite, this suite... highly recommended 10 stars

Lovely wee hotel staff were lovely and in these uncertain times felt really comfortable here.We booked the suite which was a good sizedroom Furniture a bit dated but fine beautiful view from velux windows beautifulcouple of tub chairs under them would be nice...Breakfast was fab and the one night we ate there the food was lovely home cooking.Staff were very attentive and although they didn’t come into the room every day To avoid un-nessasary contact made sure we had everything we needed And always asked when we returned each day if anything was required eg clean towels Coffee for ,room Etc would defo stay here again...

Good position in Dunoon, ample parking outside in the street, it is apparent that ongoing upgrading is taking place in the hotel to make it more contemporary. Staff very Welcoming & Friendly. Breakfast enjoyable. Decent shower and good quality towels in the bathroom. Some rooms appear to have sea views and others look into the garden. We were lucky enough to have a corner room with two windows giving a decent view and plenty of light.

we recently stayed at the park Hotel for the first time, we will definitely be returning the staff were fantastic everyone was friendly and went out their way to be helpful,we stayed with a 10 week old baby and staff were excellent helping with anything we needed. The room was very spacious and the whole place was extremely clean. $ Nights in this delightful hotel. The COVID precautions and organisation were excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly and made us feel personally welcome. The room was very well appointed, very clean and freshly decorated to a high standard. The breakfast and dinner menus were full of choice (including our vegetarian) and the food was very well cooked and presented. No complaints whatsoever. A pleasure to be there. We will return for sure.

Stayed for one night with a group of friends. The rooms were comfy and clean, the food on offer was reasonably priced and excellent quality. Mehmet who was working reception was extremely polite and helpful, he answered any questions we had about facilities available and the local area. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, make sure you are hungry, plenty of choices to choose from. Would definitely use this accommodation again.
